The Need

People are living longer with serious and complex conditions, yet today’s fragmented healthcare system makes it extremely difficult to effectively treat seriously ill patients.

The Outcome

Palliative care helps ensure that resources are matched to patient and family needs, resulting in substantially lower medical costs for patients, hospitals, and the overall healthcare system. Outpatient palliative care provides an effective solution to compassionately care for those who are the most vulnerable. It is a privilege to make meaningful connections and support Whatcom County in providing meaningful, individualized, holistic care for chronic and seriously ill patients and their loved ones.
